How do I log a meal?
You have four ways to log meals in Niblo:
  • Photo: Take a picture of your food and our AI will identify it
  • Voice: Just say what you ate (e.g., "I had a chicken salad for lunch")
  • Text: Type a description of your meal
  • Barcode: Scan packaged food for instant nutrition info
Can I edit or delete a meal?
Yes! Tap on any meal in your timeline to view its details. From there, you can edit the portions, ingredients, or delete the meal entirely. Changes are synced immediately.
How accurate is the photo recognition?
Our AI is powered by Google Gemini and can identify most common foods with high accuracy. For best results:
  • Take clear, well-lit photos
  • Include the whole plate in frame
  • For packaged foods, scanning the barcode is more accurate
You can always edit the detected food if needed.
How are my calorie and macro goals calculated?
During onboarding, we calculate your personalized goals using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation based on your:
  • Age, gender, height, and weight
  • Activity level
  • Goal (lose, maintain, or gain weight)
  • Desired rate of change
Your macros are split into 30% protein, 40% carbs, and 30% fat by default.
Is my data private and secure?
Absolutely. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell your personal information to third parties. Food photos are processed for AI analysis and are not stored permanently. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
How do I change my goals or settings?
Go to the Profile tab in the app. From there you can:
  • Update your goal (lose, maintain, gain)
  • Adjust calorie and macro targets
  • Change unit system (metric/imperial)
  • Update dietary preferences and allergies
  • Manage notifications
What is Niblo+?
Niblo+ is our premium subscription that unlocks:
  • Unlimited photo logs (free tier: 3/day)
  • Advanced insights and trends
  • Priority AI processing
  • Export your data
  • Early access to new features
You can upgrade anytime from the Profile tab.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Delete Account at the bottom of the settings. This will permanently delete all your data including meals, progress, and personal information. This action cannot be undone. You can also request deletion via our account deletion page.
